Have you seen The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore? My husband showed it to me last night, and it was almost like watching Star Wars for the first time. Pretty mind-blowing. Although as much as I enjoyed watching this amazing work, I felt a bit sad thinking that someday this will replace a child's first book. Let's hope it's not too soon...

Bocce Anyone?

This was the view from the front door of our cottage rental. We spent the 4th of July holiday in the quaint town of Kenwood, Sonoma County. Temperatures were in the high 90's every day; this image was taken near dusk when it cooled to about 80 (really!). And yes, we did play bocce ball.
