My sister says that I'm smiling too hard in the picture, but who wouldn't be?! Anthony is simply electric and even better looking in person - in my humble opinion. I was fortunate enough to spend an afternoon lunch with Anthony and 50 other adoring fans at Boulevard hosted by Book Passage on Sunday. Signing books and chatting with the crowd, he was just as jocular as he is on television. Moreover, Anthony is just as easy-going and interesting as he is on No Reservations.
I was pleasantly surprised by how deeply he respected different
cultures and their cuisines. A true lover of food and culinary
discoveries. He had a more powerful message than I can convey but it
went something like this - we're on this planet for a limited time.

This was no ordinary lunch, the menu was straight from Les Halles. Escargot, Coquilles Saint Jacques with Champagne, Frisee aux Lardons, Chartreuse of Quail, Pommes Fondants, Poached Pear in Red Wine, and Chocolate Hazelnut Tart! Clearly an early Christmas for me.
